With this commission I started working on my first custom made project. We chose the slab of wood that would make the tabletop together with the client and got started with the design.
Table no.2
The tabletop is one solid piece of Oak wood with a natural crack down one end. Together with the client we decided to keep the track in its natural state, to only clean it up and to not fill it with epoxy or other means.
Only a few small cracks and holes were filled to make the table more user-friendly.
The Steel structure was designed in collaboration with the client, after a few iterations we agreed on this shape and size. The steel structure is entirely handmade has a mat black finish.
