Table no.1

This first table was made for my own home. This project was largely experimental as it allowed me to explore the fixed dimensions and requirements of an everyday object. These obvious limitations in my designing freedom allowed me to learn a lot from the process.

Willow is a softer wood not typically used for tables but offers a very nice warm finish with the right technique.

The Legs were chemically treated with a bluing agent allowing for a protection and (blackening) color without hiding the Steel's natural look and feel.
